Snow White

     Earlier this year I saw "Snow White and the Huntsman", and just a few days ago I saw "Mirror Mirror" (I really liked both by the way). I thought I should do a Snow White costume comparison post for these two  movies.

     First off, Snow White and the Huntsman:

In this movie you will see a lot more leather and suede, as well as more earthy/darker colors. The color schemes and styles really add to the mood of the movie (Dark, scary, heroic) as costumes should. Besides being the actor's pass to a character it's their most important job. I really like her style; durable, comfortable, pretty. Basically, it's all around realistic for that time and place as well as adding to her own personality. I REALLY like this costume. I also like how they brought in the classic Snow White sleeve style. :D

      Now for Mirror Mirror:

Okay, I absolutely LOVE this costume, it's very "me". :P I love the colors especially. This is a much more light-hearted version of Snow White, and the guys too wear different styles than that in the Huntsman. I think it depends on your personality which movie/costume you like better, but this costume trumps most costumes I've ever seen in any movie. Sorry for the rant, it's just such an awesome outfit! She wears other costumes too, but not super-duper.... I'm thinking Renaissance Faire...:D What do you think?

Movie Costume Monday~ The Avengers

Good afternoon everyone,
I got to see the Avengers on Friday, and absolutely LOVED it. :) The costumes were as amazing as the movie. :D 

 Captain America is my Favorite, with Hawkeye as a close second. Who's your favorite??

 The movie was the perfect balance of action, dialogue, comedy, and emotion. Don't you agree?

For today's Movie Costume I decided on Anne of Avonlea, I watched the movie recently and really loved the costumes; but especially Anne's. :D

Movie Costume Monday- Pippin

Hey everyone,
First off, I'd like to apologize for slacking. Right now I'm leading a rather crazy life. :P

For this week's Movie Costume Monday, I decided on Pippin from Lord of the Rings, they're my favorite movies, and...who doesn't like Pippin? Legolas is my favorite, but I've been feeling goofy today, so who could be better? :P

I have always been a fan of his scarf... :P As well as the color scheme they chose for him, very happy and hobbity.

 Ahaahahaha, one of the BEST parts...

And who knew he could sing? :D

NCIS is my favorite TV show, and I like Ziva's outfits a lot, so why not do them for MCM?

Today's Movie Costume Monday comes from the movie "Nicholas Nickleby" it's one of my favorite movies, and when I asked a friend for MCM ideas she reminded me of this one.


 I love the style throughout the movie with all the costumes, but I have always had a thing for long coats and top-hats. :)

 I wish people talked like that nowadays...

Movie Costume Monday~Merry

Today I was feeling inspired by a book I recently got about the making of Lord of the Rings, Obviously I read the costume-making section first, and decided to post about Merry's Rohirric battle attire for today's Movie Costume Monday:

I just love everything about this costume, all the leather and embroidery especially. :)

Hobbits are great all-around, such stout-hearted little folks. :)

Movie Costume Monday~Edmund

Good morning everyone,
I hope ya'll are having a fantastic Monday so far!
Today's Movie Costume Monday comes from the latest narnia movie: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
I decided on Edmund's Narnian costume, I just love that classic Narnian style mixed with a little pirate-ish-ness. :P

 In the above picture it looks slightly Shakespearean with the jerkin and everything. Don't you think?

Personally, I would love to make any of their costumes, including the cool leather belts/sash things. :)
